Cherry Rice Pilaf

2 tbsp butter or margarine
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup Cherry De-Lite
dried cherries
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme
1 tbsp chopped fresh majoram
1/2 tsp ground black pepper

3 cups cooked rice

Heat butter in a large nonstick saucepan.  Cook onion, celery, cherries, walnuts, thyme, majoram and black pepper over medium heat until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.

Stir in rice; mix well and cook until heated through. Serve hot.

Makes 8 servings

Variation: 1 teaspoon dried herbs instead of fresh
